Tres Bien Studios Policies 2014

Please read through the following, as some policies have changed.

You have the right to expect an excellent standard of teaching from me, including artistic example, responsibility, punctuality, cheerfulness, patience, and energy. Setting these guidelines allows me to do my job as educator and to maintain consistency  in my schedule.

I reserve the right to revise my policy at any time. Any revision of the policy will be communicated to you before the changes take effect.

FEES:

30 minute lessons are $20.00

Payment is accepted monthly. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, or credit card.

Lessons are scheduled once per week during the school year, from September 1st through June 1st.

If the family knows in advance that the student will not be available for a lesson during a certain

week, then payment will not be required for that week, provided one week’s notice is given.

BOOKS & SUPPLIES:

The family shall be responsible for purchasing any books and supplies that the teacher feels is necessary in order for the student to develop properly. These may include an assignment notebook, one or more songbooks, a theory book, an exercise book, a metronome, and a footstool (for young children). The teacher shall not be expected to make the purchases for the student, though this is sometimes possible.

All books and supplies must be brought to each lesson.

CANCELLATIONS:

24 hours’ notice is required for all cancellations except for emergencies (sickness, death in family, etc.).  Please try your best to give me notice of any anticipated absences. I will remain as flexible as possible, but changes made less than 24 hours that are not due to sickness or serious family emergencies will be charged.

Make-up lessons will be determined based on scheduling. With a full studio, it is difficult to accommodate make-up lessons. Giving 24 hours’ notice will allow the teacher to schedule other make up lessons during a   student’s missed time slot.
